Munnar is Kerala's best-known hill station, spread across rolling tea estates in the Western Ghats at over 1,600 metres elevation. The drive up from Kochi climbs through spice plantations and waterfalls before opening into the tea garden landscape the region is famous for.
Most visitors are picked up in Kochi and driven up via Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls, both good photo stops on the way.
